CME (Continuing Medical Education)

As part of CME, World Mental Health Day is celebrated on 10 th October every year. In year (2008), it was also celebrated. A walk was arranged to sensitize people and provide public awareness about Mental Disorders. A session of speeches and discussion was also arranged by inviting Eminent figures from different walks of life such as Prof. Malik H. Mubashar, Vice Chancellor of The University of Health Sciences, Munnoo Bhai, a well known columnist, I.A. Rehman, from Human Right Commission, to name some of them. A Drama named “LAMBE PAINDAY, OKHIYAN RAHWAN” (Punjabi) was staged reflecting implications of Mental Illness on the patient as well as family and society in the background of our socio-cultural setup.

  • A dramatic & music club has been setup to arrange such functions on regular basis in future

  • Various sessions for lectures/CPCs and case presentations by the expertise of this hospital are being conducted regularly. Guest speakers from different teaching institutions are also invited at various occasions to share knowledge and skills with hospital staff.

  • Students of following categories of different universities from all over the Punjab also visit the institute for completion of their thesis dissertations / project
  • Graduate and Post-graduate students from Medical colleges, clinical and applied psychology departments of various colleges are also provided training here.
